Alliance Chat 2

Alliance Chat, where no topic has gone before!

Welcome to the Alliance Chat! This podcast will be about various topics in not only the comic industry, but nearly anything that effects creators of all types. And sometimes just plain old life issues; like stinky feet or that Drezz pees in pools.

In this podcast, we chat about: Cross dressing Bugs Bunny, baby poop, Penny Arade’s Kickstarter project & “Strip Search” reality show, what makes for a good ending in comics in story terms, crickets near Drezz and our favorite endings in film and TV, plus we don’t have an ending for this new Chat format.

  1. I love these little discussion about anything and everything. Very enjoyable way to pass the hour.

I was surprised no one mentioned the ending to Battlestar Gallactica which ruined the entire series for me. I was ready to drop some serious money on the limited edition blu-ray set, but as soon as I saw that last episode I felt the entire series became a joke. I usually don’t complain about endings, hell, I didn’t even really mind the last episode of Seinfield, but BSG was doing so very well until that last hour. Sigh. Oh well…

At least Smallville gave me an ending that was in line with what I was expecting from the show. Although it would have been nice to see Tom Welling in the suit, even though I can understand why he wouldn’t want to.

    • Thanks, man! You are totally right about the BSG ending, sucked big time. The last season I had a rough time watching as I could see it coming as the Cylons became more and more their allies (or at least certain Cylons). So the whole “fleeing the Cylon tyranny…” was sorted lost on me.

Glad you like it as we have a blast recording it. 🙂

    • BSG went off the rails for me with the introduction of ‘The Final Five’. Seemed a major shift in premise, and laid clear the fact the the Cylons didn’t have a plan after all (or at least the writers didn’t).

The ending to 60s meta-spy show The Prisoner has always been my favorite ending to a show.

      • I was okay with the idea of the Final Five. The exact moment it lost me was….

…. when they were running around the Cylon ship and it was suppose to represent the Opera house (for no clear reason other than just because), and Dean Stockwell shot himself in the mouth. It was downhill from there.

  2. Gotta say, this is a fun way to pass time at the drawing board. Adding the conversation portion of the show was a great idea. Reminds me of the old Webcomics Weekly’s. Thanks for doing it.
