Solving Webcomic Issues We All Face.
This podcast we discuss:
Dawn: Lets discuss ratings for an all-ages comic. It’s my #1 question at a con- “what ages is this for?” I want to imply that Z&F isn’t JUST for kids- most tend to think it’s kids only and aren’t considering it for themselves. Is it better to avoid the all-ages label (or an alternative) or to promote it poudly as such? Can you suggest a good alternative, such as “E for Everyone” or “P for Pixar”?
Chris: Social Media anxiety

Please, not P for Pixar. That just makes me think of Wine swilling Toy hoarders who secretly hate women. Also Scooter riding jackoffs.
Hi Guys
I enjoy your podcast and have been listening to it for a while. You have a really good balance between humour and good content.
Dawn, why don’t you say on the cover “Ages 9 to 99” or some variation on that?
I think that implies that everyone can enjoy it without suggesting it is just for kids. I doubt you will lose too many readers in the 100+ range.
Alex
Another good show!
I really like the T for teen (10+) label. To me that makes it feel like its appropriate reading for adults yet still safe for a younger audience.
What do you think of “all-reader friendly”?
Just noticed that term on this Kickstarter by a couple of Eisner and Harvey award winners for their work on that sort of material. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1197720703/aw-yeah-comics
